Brother Bear just had a birthday and what other theme would you expect from a turning 8 year old "mining addict" BUUT...

MINECRAFT

Soooo, since Momma Bear has no clue about Minecraft, I don't play and Poppa Bear (the other "addict", oh I mean player) doesn't plan parties, I relied on that wonderful World Wide Web to help me "mine" out a perfect party plan.We printed, cut, and glued our way to an amazing Minecraft afternoon.

This is how it turned out...

We had Minecraft inspired snacks like these grass blocks and such,

a Minecraft ore inspired cake we made,

a motley crew of "miners", young and old alike,

 a crafting table for making papercraft blocks,

 a surprise visitor,

 and even though it seemed to be the hottest day of the year...

a HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY birthday boy!!!
