All Things Beautiful = Allergies at Our House

It's allergy season again... how do we know? The S's have arrived... SNORT, SNEEZE, SNIFFLE, SNOT, SNORE, ... should I go on? Nah, you get the picture. Even though we love the outdoors, we suffer as a family through this season. Even though it causes us grief, outside is our favorite place to be. Even though we have the ENT on speeddial, spring is our favorite season of the year. We have enjoyed the beautiful days and the fair weather, getting our yard in order, tilling up the garden spot, and just playing in the grass. Our favorite pasttime is seeing just who runs out of steam first, the dog or the person throwing the tennis ball, frisbee, or whatever she can find. There are so many days that our television NEVER gets turned on. We spend as little time indoors as possible, guess that's why we suffer from the S's so badly. Oh well, we only get to live this life once and what a wonderful gift that we get to share it with so many wonderful friends and family.

Speaking of family, we had an awsome almost unexpected visit this weekend from a couple of wonderful family members. My aunt and uncle stopped by on their way to a surprise party in Dallas. They could only stay 15 minutes since they were on a tight schedule to pick up another cousin in Shreveport, but it was so good to see them. She had called the night before and said they might stop by, so we were excited when they actually could. Why is it that we don't stop and make the time to see our families more often? I often make lists of wishes, just simple meandering of my mind, and spending more time with those we love always seems to find its way to the top of my list.

Oh well, the S's have sent all of mine to dreamland, so I think I will sign off and see if I can meet the Sandman too. Good night!!

It's the Weekend...

It's Saturday morning, the boys are headed camping,...

(Spending the night at the Boy Scout Camp
for Dad and Lad Weekend)
the baby is still sleeping,...
and I'm sitting on the front porch sipping coffee, watching the chickens peck the grass,...
Good Lord, you've sent me to live in a country music song!!! Oh wait, we didn't say anything about momma or jail or trains... better call David Allen Coe to write us another verse!!

The girl and I have officially started our bachelorette weekend, also known as we can do what we want with out asking the boys weekend! Dad and Lad are off to the campout with tent, clothes, snacks and plenty of mosquito repellant and us girls are just relaxing.
